Legal-Worker-728x90-mockup

QUESTION: Dear Legal Wiz,
My sister served as a juror for six months and just before her payment she was killed. Can we her family in the United states get her monies? She also left a house, a car, computer and bank accounts with monies, but NO WILL.

Troy Berbick

RESPONSE: Dear Troy,

The general rule according to a Supreme Court staffer is that when a juror dies, his/her monies die also. Sometimes if there is a letter from that person authorising someone to collect those monies, that someone can collect. You may however need to consider applying for Letters of Administration to secure legal authority to acquire her other possessions/property.

Please write again for further assistance.
